Who’s behind Thrive
Thrive Supported Employment was founded by Julia Esta, a community-based support professional with a long history of mission-driven work and volunteering. Across roles in midwifery and birth support, community outreach, disability services, and advocacy, the through line has always been the same, helping people feel supported, capable, and connected through steady, practical support.
What drives Thrive Supported Employment is rooted in social capital, the idea that we all belong, and that community becomes stronger when everyone has real access to opportunity. Thrive works within Utah’s supported employment system, collaborating with funding partners and community supports to provide individualized services that build confidence and independence over time.

At Thrive Supported Employment, we believe meaningful work is a human right and a pathway to confidence, connection, and independence. We support individuals through every stage of the employment journey, from vocational assessment and job development to on-the-job training, follow-along coaching, and long-term job retention.
Our mission is to help each person find and thrive in competitive, community-based employment that aligns with their goals, strengths, and interests. By fostering independence and inclusion, we empower individuals to build sustainable careers, earn income, and contribute to their communities.
